This month has been a rather exciting one for my makeup collection. October is my birthday month, and armed with a little birthday cash, I headed to MAC to buy my first ever MAC palette, and finally became the proud owner of a 217. I chose a rather autumn appropriate set of shades, featuring Cranberry, Blackberry, All That Glitters and Satin Taupe. I've been using these all throughout the month, for daytime wear and more dramatic night time looks, and its safe to say my collection will not stop there!

Continuing the theme of eyes, a few other products tickled my fancy this month. The first two are the GOSH Forever Eye Shadow Sticks, in Silver Rose and Brown. I have loved using these as a base, topped with either Satin Taupe or All That Glitters. Finally, a few more shadows that I have been loving come courtesy of L'Oreal, in the form of their L'Ombre Pure Shadows. I have the shades Breaking Nude, a gorgeous buttery matte brown, that I've loved using to smoke out the crease, and Over The Taupe, a pinky, browny, gold. Both are exceptional quality for drugstore shadows!

My favourites on the lips have been the Maybelline Colordrama Velvet Touch Lip Pencil in Nude Perfection and the 2true Color Drench Lip Gloss in Shade 1. I would never have gone for the 2true gloss, but it has been raved about by Lisa Eldridge herself, so I thought I'd give it a go. It is actually a really lovely gloss, and such a bargain!

For brows I have been head over heels about the Maybelline Brow Satin. It is a dual ended wax pencil and powder, with a super fine nib that gives really natural results. I have the shade Medium Brown, which is a great cool tone. This is a product I feel hasn't been raved about enough on the blogosphere. The only annoying thing is the lettering on the packaging, which rubbed off and left black marks all over my hands!

Base-wise, I have really fallen for the L'Oreal True Match foundation. When I got this in the summer I hated the finish, as it left me too shiny, but come the cooler months it has worked perfectly. The colour is spot on and it leaves such a beautiful finish on the skin. I find it illuminating but still pretty good coverage, and isn't too shiny. Another L'Oreal product that has redefined my makeup routine is the Lumi Magique Concealer. An obvious Touche Eclat dupe, this lightweight concealer really brightens the eye. So much so that I have strayed from the more heavy concealers around the eye area. Finally, I have been loving the Makeup Revolution Blush & Contour Palette in Sugar and Spice. These blushes are super pigmented and there is such a good range of shades. My favourites are the peach, dusky pink in the top left corner and the shimmery pink.

My perfume favourite this month has hands down been Diptyque Philosykos. This is a true beauty blogger fave and with good reason. I love its figgy tones, combined with such a fresh green note. It is perfect for any occasion, day or night, and I will definitely be ugrading my sample to a full-size bottle.
